What a 510(k) clearance tells you
A 510(k) is a premarket notification a company sends to the FDA. It shows that a new device is substantially equivalent to a device already on the US market, called the predicate. When the FDA agrees, the device is cleared. Going through new clearances by hand takes a long time. Ask Whimbrel instead, in the AI app you already use, like ChatGPT or Claude.
Source of the signal: the FDA 510(k) database (accessdata.fda.gov) and company press releases. Every fact Whimbrel shows links to its public source and date. To look up a 510(k) yourself, read how to search the FDA 510(k) database.
